Dr. Antonio Rivera

Dr. Antonio Rivera grew up in small towns in North Fort Worth and graduated from Northwest High School in just three years. He proudly obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003,  "Hook'em Horns!" Subsequently, Dr. Rivera pursued his dental education at Baylor College of Dentistry, now Texas A&M College of Dentistry, where he graduated in 2007 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.


Following the completion of his studies, Dr. Rivera commenced his professional journey in the Dallas area, initially serving as an associate dentist. In 2010, he took a courageous step forward by founding Luna Dental. Over the past decade, Luna Dental has flourished into a cherished dental home for thousands in the neighboring community, propelled by Dr. Rivera's genuine care and respect for his patients.


Dr. Rivera's visionary leadership has molded Luna Dental into a practice that instills pride among its staff and continues to serve the community with unwavering gratitude and dedication. Luna has emerged as one of the flagship brands of the Lucent Dental Group.


Dr. Daniela Canales

Dr. Daniela Canales is from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. She graduated with honors from University of the Incarnate Word and earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Afterwards, she earned a Biomedical Science Certificate from the University of Texas at Dallas. After concluding her time at University of Texas at Dallas, she attended Texas A&M College of Dentistry receiving a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Canales has a philosophy of giving back to the community and has participated in various outreach programs in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and South Texas. Dr. Canales loves to see her patients smile and it is her goal to provide quality dental care to her patients as well as build trust with them to make their dental visit a pleasant experience. In her spare time, Dr. Canales enjoys attending concerts, traveling, interior decorating, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Steve Garcia

Dr. Steve Garcia, a 2017 graduate of UNLV Dental School in Las Vegas, has been making waves in the dental profession since the beginning of his career. Working diligently in South and West Texas, Steve has earned a stellar reputation as a skilled practitioner.

 

Proficient in root canals and adept at pediatric dentistry, Steve continuously updates his skills, staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field. His commitment to excellence is reflected in his ability to provide top-notch care to a diverse patient base, enhanced by his fluency in both English and Spanish.

 

Beyond the dental clinic, Steve is a passionate traveler, exploring the world and embracing new cultures. An avid skier, he finds joy in the winter slopes. While his professional life thrives, Steve values his downtime spent reconnecting with his Las Vegas roots and family.

Dr. Jose A Lopez

Dr. Jose A Lopez is originally from Guanajuato, Mexico. He started his educational journey at the University of North Texas, in which he earned a Bachelors of Arts in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Afterwards, he attended Texas A&M College of Dentistry receiving a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Lopez loves to spend his free time with family and friends. He believes in providing the highest dental care and patient education, while making your experience as comfortable as possible.

Dr. Kimberly Murguia

Dr. Kimberly Murguia is from Amarillo, Texas. She graduated from Texas Tech University and earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and General Business. After obtaining her Bachelors, Dr. Murguia attended Texas A&M School of Dentistry receiving a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. During her time at TAMSOD she participated in various outreach programs providing dental work to the underserved community gaining experience in general and pediatric dentistry.


Dr. Murguia enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active at the gym and traveling. She has a passion for dentistry and enjoys making others feel confident about their smile.

Luca Sfogliano

Orthodontists

Dr. Luca Sfogliano was born and raised in Catania, Italy. He graduated from the University of Catania with honors and received his doctoral degree. He pursued his dream to become an orthodontist in the United States attending UCLA to receive his postgraduate training in Orthodontics and his master in Oral Biology. Dr. Luca is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Developing trust and meaningful relationships with his patients is one of his favorite things about being an Orthodontist. He strives to uphold these relationships with respect, transparency and communication and leave a positive impact on their smiles and their lives. Some of his favorite things besides making smiles include spending time with family, playing sports, traveling and trying new foods.

Alexander Dao

Orthodontists

Dr. Alexander Dao has a vast and diverse education from all over the United States. His extensive training started when he attended Rutgers University, New Brunswick and graduated with a double major in Biology and Economics along with a minor in Psychology in 2012. Afterwards, he attended Temple University - Kornberg School of Dentistry and graduated Summa Cum Laude to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree in 2016. Following graduation, he practiced general dentistry before deciding to go back to a 3 year residency program at UNLV Orthodontics to earn his Orthodontics Certificate and MS in Oral Biology to become an Orthodontist in 2020. He also took on additional steps to become a Board Certified Orthodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. His favorite part of being an Orthodontist is creating beautiful, healthy smiles and raising his patients' self-esteem.


After relocating to Dallas with his fiancée, who is also an Orthodontist, he now calls Texas home.  Outside of work, he loves to run, lift, golf, hike, travel, and be outdoors. His favorite travels include Patagonia and Africa. Lastly, he dreams of completing an Ultra Marathon at the Tour Du Mont Blanc one day.


Ramon E. Torrado, DMD

Pedodontists

Born in Puerto Rico and equipped with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Syracuse University in Upstate New York, Dr. Ramon E. Torrado furthered their education at the University of Puerto Rico, obtaining a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. Additionally, he completed a two-year residency program in pediatric dentistry, solidifying Dr. Torrado’s dedication to the well-being of our youngest community members. Now rooted in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Torrado focuses on pediatric patients and offers a spectrum of services. From oral prophylaxis and dental restorations to space management, oral conscious sedation, and in-office general anesthesia, Dr. Torardo ensures a holistic approach to pediatric dental care. What sets Dr. Torrado apart is not just the commitment to a single community; he also travels to different offices, reaching out to children in Dallas, El Paso, and San Antonio.


Dr. Torrado is an avid fan of NBA basketball games, particularly those featuring the Mavericks. He loves to explore new places, embracing the joys of travel and road trips. As a gastronomy enthusiast, Dr. Torrado enjoys trying different cuisines and finds joy in the simple pleasures of eating and sharing a drink. Above all, Dr. Torrado cherishes spending quality time with their wife, family, and friends.


Dr. Steven D Peters DDS

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Steven D Peters was born and raised in the DFW area. He later attended HPHS in Dallas, Texas.  Dr. Peters attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas.  While attending Baylor, he “walked - on “ the Baylor track team as a pole vaulter. He was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. He also pledged Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He graduated from Baylor University in 1982 with a  Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.



In 1982, Dr. Peters attended The University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in Houston, Texas. Later in that year, Dr. Peters made the Dean’s Academic Honor List.   Dr. Peters graduated in 1986 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in Houston.

He then attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas, Parkland Memorial Hospital , Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program from 1986 through graduation in 1990.

Dr. Peters worked in the Metroplex for a few years before establishing a private practice in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery located in Paris, Texas. After practicing  in Paris, Texas for 24 years, Dr. Peters moved back to the DFW Metroplex to be closer to family and has served the DFW area as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.  Dr. Peters is a member of The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. 

Outside of his professional life , Dr. Peters loves seeing his family, friends, colleagues and enjoys worshiping The Lord with his church family and supports local missions in the DFW area. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, walking, working out, playing guitar, and watching all sports and “ The Jimmy Houston “ Catch a Better Life Channel,” on YouTube. He has been attending Bible Study Fellowship over the past five years and highly recommends it to anyone.
